Mailing list

On December 2000, I created a mailing list for all the Italian plate collectors: we are not so many and for this reason I think that we need to be in touch even more closely.

The list wants to be a useful tool to exchange informations and pictures, to help each other to solve misteries about plates and maybe to organize meetings; its main purpose is not to be a "place" to sell, buy or trade plates, even if this is not forbiden.

The home page of the list is: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/targhe

Since September 2002 there has been also a second mailing list. It's still about the Italian plates, but only for the sightings needed to complete the tables that match each plate with the province where it was issued. This topic was the main reason of messages on the first list, but many persons were not interested in it at all, so I decided to create tis second mailing list that runs exactly parallel to the first.

The home page of the list is: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/targhe-tabelle

You can subscribe to each list from its own home page or using the forms below. You can subscribe both the mailing lists or just one of those, as you prefer. I think it's worth trying the lists: a simple email will be enough to unsubscribe in case you don't want to follow it any more and, in any case, the messages on the lists are not a lot.

If you are interested, you can download the complete archives of both mailing list: in this way, you can read the old messages of the lists on your computer even if you aren't subscribed or if you subscribed later. The archives are in the standard mbox or eml format and I also compressed them with the Zip archiver to reduce their size, even if some of them are still quite large.

Important: Italian is the official language on both lists. If you want, there are also a couple of interesting mailing lists in English around: you can find out more at: http://www.pl8.net/list/

Have fun!
